Chuck Karan, PhD serves as Chief Scientific Officer of Nouveau Biosciences, where he oversees the company’s scientific platform from drug discovery through clinical development.
Dr. Karan holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Rochester and has built a distinguished career at the intersection of academia and biotechnology. At Columbia University Medical Center, he led the High-Throughput Screening Facility and pioneered an automated transcriptomic platform now widely adopted by research hospitals to accelerate biological systems analysis.
Known for building and leading high-performing multidisciplinary teams, Dr. Karan brings deep expertise in assay development, automation, and translational science to Nouveau — keeping the organization at the cutting edge of discovery and innovation.
