Dr. Michael Maitland is an internationally recognized physician-scientist specializing in the early-phase development of novel therapies. He most recently served as Vice President, Clinical Development at Pathos AI, and before that as Medical Lead for CRISPR-based therapies, including lonvoguran ziclumeran (NTLA-2002) and nexiguran ziclumeran (NTLA-2001), at Intellia Therapeutics. He has founded and continues to lead multiple businesses that advise biotechnology organizations and develop new supportive care treatments.

Dr. Maitland brings extensive clinical and academic experience as an oncologist and clinical pharmacologist, having worked in these roles at the University of Chicago and the University of Virginia. He is a leading authority on conducting research with interdisciplinary teams and on navigating the regulatory and safety questions that accompany innovative therapeutics.
